O-Gauge - B&M Legacy 2-6-0 Steam Engine #1397

O-Gauge - B&M Legacy 2-6-0 Steam Engine #1397

Perfectly sized for light duties on the mainline or branch lines, the 2-6-0 could be found on freight, passenger and mixed trains. The design proved especially popular and long-lived in New England where they were frequently found on the many daily milk trains.

The reliability of their design is proven by the numerous examples which survive in service today.

O-Gauge - BALTIMORE & OHIO SCALE 2-8-8-4 EM-1 #7617 (TMCC)

O-Gauge - BALTIMORE & OHIO SCALE 2-8-8-4 EM-1 #7617 (TMCC)

While articulated locomotives are most often associated with western railroads, the eastern roads had their share of these incredible leviathans. Considered the largest and finest power on the B&O, thirty EM-1's were built in 1944 and 1945 to haul coal traffic over their Cumberland Division. Even though tunnel and bridge clearances on the B&O were tight, the locomotive's designers utilized every possible square inch of space to maximize power while still operating within the clearances of B&O's main lines.

Lionel's new scale model captures all the detail of the original, along with the features you've come to expect: Die-cast construction, Command Control, Pittman motor and Articulated RailSounds.

•All new Die-cast boiler, frame and tender, Wireless tether, TrainMaster Command equipped, High Torque Pittman motor, Articulated RailSounds 4.0 with TowerCom, CrewTalk and DynaChuff, All 16 driving wheels powered, Fan driven smoke unit, Traction tires, Operating headlight, Directional lighting, Red firebox glow, Engineer and fireman figures, Pilot with optional scale or Lionel front coupler for double-heading.

O-Gauge - Chesapeake & Ohio #1608 Allegheny

O-Gauge - Chesapeake & Ohio #1608 Allegheny

A locomotive that can only be summed up in superlatives – the Allegheny was by any measurement an impressive machine! In many ways, it was even bigger than the Big Boy. Built to handle the heavy coal trains and steep grades of the Chesapeake & Ohio and Virginian, the Allegheny produced an astonishing 110,200 pounds of tractive effort. Though built for power, the locomotives were known to stretch their legs at up to 60 mph and even pulled passenger trains on occasion.

This new release of Lionel's Allegheny includes a meticulously detailed body, along with the latest LEGACY technology and Whistle Steam! Included in this offering are models of the two surviving Alleghenies – No. 1601 at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI and No. 1604 at the B&O Museum in Baltimore, MD.
